Frequently Asked Questions
Quick, plain-English answers to the questions we hear most often — from first-time clients and long-standing ones alike.
Getting Started
You can request an appointment through the Contact page, email us at mvlegalminds@gmail.com, or call +91 92788 50560. We respond to every enquiry within one business day and will offer you the earliest available confidential slot — in person, on video, or on a call, whichever suits you.
Yes. Every conversation with our advocates is strictly confidential and protected by attorney–client privilege from the very first message — whether or not you go on to formally engage the firm. Nothing you share leaves the room, or the thread, without your permission.
Bring anything that relates to the matter — contracts, notices, court papers, WhatsApp chats, emails, receipts, identification proofs. Even documents you think are irrelevant can matter. If it is easier, we can send a short intake form after the first call so you know exactly what to prepare.
Fees & Engagement
We offer four models — fixed fee, hourly, milestone-based and retainer. The right model depends on your matter, and we will recommend one. Whichever you choose, you always receive a written fee proposal before any work begins. No surprises.
Yes. Our retainers give you a defined bucket of hours each month across drafting, advisory, reviews and quick calls. It works well for founders and MSMEs who need a general counsel on tap without hiring one full-time.
The first short call to understand whether we are the right fit is free of charge. Detailed opinions, document reviews and formal advice are chargeable — but the fee is always agreed in advance.
Reach & Capabilities
Yes. Our chambers are in Delhi, but we act for clients across India through a trusted network of associated counsel and appear before courts, tribunals and arbitral forums nationwide when required.
Yes. We regularly appear on urgent injunctions, stay applications, anticipatory bail and ad-interim reliefs. Please flag the urgency when you first contact us so the matter can be triaged immediately.
Yes. A large share of our advisory work happens on video calls, with documents shared through secure links. In-person meetings at our Najafgarh chambers remain available for anyone who prefers them.
Process & Communication
Every matter has one named accountable advocate — either Mahesh or Sahil — who runs it from start to finish. Complex matters are jointly reviewed by both partners. You will not be handed off to a junior with no context.
You will receive a written note after every hearing and after any material development — no chasing required. Between milestones, we are reachable on call, email and WhatsApp during working hours.
It depends entirely on the type of matter and the forum. A well-drafted contract can be turned around in days; a contested civil suit may run for years. In our first proposal we always share a realistic timeline range based on comparable matters we have handled.

If your question is not answered above, please write to us or call — no obligation. We would rather answer a question early than see you commit to the wrong course of action later.
