What we have argued, drafted and settled
Civil Litigation
Recovery of dues in a commercial supply dispute
Situation: A local supplier was owed a substantial sum by a mid-sized buyer that had stopped responding after part-payment. Litigation had been threatened for over a year but never pursued.
Outcome: We issued a structured demand notice, filed a summary suit under Order XXXVII CPC, and secured a negotiated settlement within four months — with full recovery of principal and a defined interest component.
Situation: A first-time accused faced an FIR built on demonstrably contradictory statements filed after a family dispute over property.
Outcome: We drafted and argued a Section 482 CrPC petition before the Delhi High Court. The FIR was quashed on the basis that continuation of proceedings would amount to abuse of process.
Situation: Two working spouses wanted a dignified separation with primary care of a minor child arranged clearly and without future disputes.
Outcome: We drafted a balanced mutual consent petition covering custody, visitation, maintenance and asset division — completed within a single hearing cycle after the statutory cooling-off period.
Title verification & sale-deed advisory for a first-time buyer
Situation: A buyer had already paid a token amount for a resale flat when concerns arose about encumbrances and an incomplete chain of title.
Outcome: We conducted a full title search, identified an unregistered prior sale agreement, and restructured the transaction with tri-party undertakings — the buyer took clean title and the token was preserved.
Vendor & founder agreements for an early-stage D2C brand
Situation: Two co-founders launching a small e-commerce brand had no written agreements between themselves, with vendors, or with contract manufacturers.
Outcome: We drafted a founders' agreement, a manufacturing MSA, standard vendor terms, and website policies within three weeks — de-risking the business before its first funding conversation.
Situation: A client had paid in full for a service that was materially different from what was promised, and the service provider had refused to refund.
Outcome: We filed a District Consumer Commission complaint with structured evidence. The commission ordered full refund with compensation for deficiency in service and litigation costs.
Section 138 NI Act — recovery of a dishonoured cheque
Situation: A dishonoured cheque of significant value was being disputed on technical grounds; the drawer had begun to dispose of assets.
Outcome: We filed a Section 138 complaint on the last day of limitation and obtained conviction and compensation, along with concurrent civil proceedings that protected the recoverable assets.
Wrongful termination & full & final settlement dispute
Situation: A senior employee was terminated without cause and without payment of accrued dues, severance or bonus.
Outcome: We issued a detailed legal notice and negotiated a lump-sum settlement covering unpaid dues, notice period and a mutually agreed severance — settled outside litigation within eight weeks.
